Quick answers about our early childhood services in South Africa.
We design programs for children from birth to six years old. Our approach follows the National Curriculum Framework for children from birth to four, and we align with the Grade R and Foundation Phase requirements for children aged five and six.
Most programs span a full academic term, around 10 to 12 weeks. We schedule weekly in-person coaching sessions and provide access to online resources. The timeline is flexible and can be adjusted based on your school’s calendar and teacher availability.
Yes. Our operations advisory includes a compliance review that helps you understand the registration process with the Department of Social Development. We guide you through the required documentation, facility standards, and staff qualifications needed to become a registered early learning center.
Absolutely. Our professional development programs are designed for groups of any size. We assess the current skill level of your team and create a custom plan that addresses specific classroom challenges, from managing mixed-age groups to integrating play-based learning.
Our audit covers enrollment procedures, daily schedules, staff-to-child ratios, health and safety protocols, and financial record-keeping. After the review, we deliver a written report with prioritized recommendations and a step-by-step action plan to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance.

All consulting, mentorship, and advisory engagements are delivered as outlined in the service agreement. GoodStartCollege provides recommendations and guidance; final implementation decisions remain with the client institution. We do not guarantee specific enrolment numbers or regulatory outcomes.
Teacher development programs and operational audits are scheduled based on mutual availability. Workshop dates, coaching sessions, and review milestones are confirmed in writing at least two weeks in advance. Rescheduling requests made less than five business days before a session may incur a fee.
All curriculum frameworks, training materials, and operational templates created by GoodStartCollege remain our intellectual property. Clients receive a perpetual, non-transferable license to use these materials within their own centre. Redistribution or resale of any content is prohibited without prior written consent.
GoodStartCollege’s total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the total fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or reputation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Client information, including operational data, staff details, and financial records, is treated as confidential. GoodStartCollege will not disclose such information to third parties without explicit permission, except as required by South African law. We may use anonymised, aggregated data for internal quality improvement.
Either party may terminate an agreement with 14 days’ written notice. Fees for services already delivered are non-refundable. Prepaid but unused sessions will be refunded on a pro-rata basis, minus any administrative costs incurred. Disputes are first addressed through direct negotiation; unresolved matters may be referred to mediation in the Western Cape.
Each program is built around your school’s stage and goals. No fixed pricing — we tailor scope, duration, and delivery to your context.
